Job Description: To plan, organise, coordinate, supervise and control the Mechanical Maintenance activities at an O&M site. To manage the complete Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance function correctly and efficiently as per laid down procedures/ contract. These functions include close coordination with Head (Operation) / Head (Planning), Head (Electrical) and Head - Instrumentation. Preparation of maintenance schedules to upkeep of the boilers, turbines and the equipments and facilities available in the plant, Rectification planning for defects identified in Condition Monitoring, Contractors, external services, prepare/present MIS reports, within the guidelines of company policies with the objective of ensuring smooth running of power plant and meeting Customer expectations.

Candidate Requirement
Decision making during any emergency operation. Maintenance planning for PM / RM / SM. Manpower management within the department.
a) Internal – Power Plant Manager, Head O&M Operations, Planning Manager, HOD - Electrical, HOD - Instrumentation, ACM - BTG, GM - BTG Technical Operations, Contract Manager, Logistics, GM (HR), Manager-Personnel (O&M), Head - Mech Maint. of other BTG sites.
b) External – Customer, Vendors, contractors, external service provider, prospective customers / visitors in the plant.

a) Good knowledge about:
Boiler / Turbines / and other Mechanical equipments like all types of pumps, fans, blowers, cooling tower, compressors, heat exchangers, coal handling plant (crushers, vibrators, conveyor belts), DM plant, ash handling plant.
b) Functional knowledge about:
(i) The regular, preventive and break down maintenance, trouble shooting, repair activity, design of mechanical equipments
(ii) Process improvement through application of latest trend in technology.
(iii) Planning of spare parts for smooth running of thermal power plant, preparation of specifications for mechanical equipments, selection, inspection of material & their approval.
c) Basic Knowledge of ISO 9001 - 2000 quality systems and OHSAS 18001
d) Working Knowledge of Computers :
i) MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point etc)

e) Knowledge about Emergency Prepardness and Response to Emergencies...
Experience: 14 - 16 years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech(Mechanical)
Compensation Details
Salary: 11.00 Lakh to 13.00 Lakh (Indian Rupees) per annum
